Weight loss Using Herbalife (and a guide for Herbalife Coaches)

The following is an example of what one might expect during a Herbalife weight loss consultation.  Also, if you would like to be a Herbalife Coach use the following example as a template for your coaching session.

Fill out wellness profile paperwork (click for wellness profile) and ask a few questions about eating habits.

Measure body weight and percent body fat (measurement tool needed, such as a scale and body fat % device).
Calculate calories and protein intake per day based on body weight and body fat percentage.  Use the following to calculate daily calories and protein intake.

·      Pounds of fat = (body weight) x (body percent fat)
·      Lean body mass = (body weight) x (pounds of fat)
·      Resting metabolic rate = (lean body mass) x (14)
·      Calories/day = (resting metabolic rate) – (400)

For further body transformation tracking a variety of other body parts may be measured such as: upper arm, upper chest, middle chest, around the belly button, hips, and thigh.  A sample template for tracking these measurements can be seen here.

Based on the client’s body weight and percent body fat the following meal plans provide a guideline as to their daily food consumption.
Meal plans are as follows and click each one for a detailed plan.
A= XX Calories and 70-99 grams of protein
B= XX Calories and 100-124 grams of protein
C= XX Calories and 125-149 grams of protein
D= XX Calories and 150-175 grams of protein

An effective way to track food/nutrition is using the app called Myfitnesspal to track food consumed.  This will easily show macros (fats, carbs, and proteins) consumed per day and will show you what certain foods contain and are either beneficial or a setback for your weight loss goals.

Using MyFitnessPal you can plug in daily macro goals for protein, carbohydrates, and fats based on body weight and percent body fat.  Upon weekly check-ins with your Herbalife coach, they will look at your food log and determine positive areas and areas to improve.  The majority of the time, if the calories and macros are followed weight and body fat loss will occur.

Also during weekly check-ins with your Herbalife coach, new measurements for body weight, body fat percentage, and other measurements around the body are taken and recorded to compare with the previous week.

Based on macros and calories consumed along with new body weight/body fat percent (and other body measurements), suggestions are made if necessary to your food consumption.  Most people eat too many carbs, and this can account for minimal or no weight loss - make sure clients/consumers are watching their carb intake.

Herbalife

How/why I got into Herbalife:
I heard about Herbalife through my girlfriend at the time.  She was
sponsored by Herbalife and I attended a “shake” party.  The day after
the party I had a consultation with a health coach and bought the quickstart program.
Herbalife interested me because of the focus on health and wellness, this
is something that is important to me.  I’m an active person and therefore staying in shape
and eating right is important to me.

My Herbalife transformation:
I signed up for (started) the body transformation challenge in the beginning
of April and by June 7 I lost 27.8 pounds, 6.3% body fat, and several inches
lost throughout my body.

My Herbalife story:
I started taking Herbalife products in the beginning of April of 2014.  I
bought the quickstart kit and quickly fell in love with the product.  I noticed
within the first week that my overall feeling of well being was much higher.
I had more energy and my workouts and runs were better.  Upon noticing a
difference in my overall health, I started buying other Herbalife products
that didn’t come in the quickstart kit.  After two months on Herbalife I was
taking a wide range of product including the 24 line.

After trying the products first hand and experiencing the benefits of their products, I would highly recommend to anyone that is interested in living a healthier life and for athletes looking to get to the next level.
